Your gift will provide more discretionary funds for faculty teaching and research. These funds could be used for equipment, studies or stipends for student research assistants. Your gift can create an endowment to provide competitive salaries on an ongoing basis so the University of Florida can attract and retain the best and brightest faculty.
University Chair: To establish a permanently endowed university chair, a minimum gift of $4 million is required.
Chair: To establish a permanently endowed chair (also called an “eminent scholar chair”), a minimum gift of $1.5 million is required.
Professorship: To establish an endowed professorship, a minimum gift of $600,000 is required.
Graduate Fellowship or Assistantship: To establish a full endowed graduate fellowship or assistantship, a minimum gift of $350,000 is required. A full or partial fellowship may be funded.
Term Professorship: To establish an endowed term professorship/faculty fellowship, a minimum gift of $300,000 is required.
Lectureship: To establish an endowed lectureship, a minimum gift of $250,000 is required. The spendable income from this endowment may be used to pay for honoraria, publicity and the expenses of a faculty member or visiting professor or lecturer from another institution or organization to present a lecture or series of lectures on campus.
Research Fund: To establish an endowed research fund, a minimum gift of $100,000 is suggested. The spendable income from the endowment may be used to support programs, technology enhancements and research.
Endowment: To establish an endowment, a minimum gift of $30,000 is required. Endowment income may be used in a variety of ways to support the university
