The Promise of Tomorrow
The University of Florida of today is vastly different than when I first set foot in Gainesville in September, 1969. It is bigger, better, and more important in our ever growing world. It is an invaluable resource for our communities, our state, our nation and our planet.
But the education I received back then prepared me to face the future and even to prosper. The social and leadership skills I had a chance to develop during my college years were equally important.
The students of today need those same opportunities and are so smart they can stand on our shoulders and reach higher than we could ever dream. It is my absolute delight to help them.
Florida Tomorrow is about connecting the past with the future, the alumni with today's students, old friends and new friends, all with a clear vision that we can and indeed will change the world for the better.
